Saturday for Neal and Saturday for Mr Harris
Hendersonville, North Carolina
Both on September 9, 2000

69 total players participated in the 2 tournaments with $556 in prizes distributed to 21 players.
Klaus Pohl and Jim Mottonen took top honors and shared the Grand Prix points.
3 different sections played at The Mountain Community School with different time controls and starting times in the same room, but there wasn't any disruption to the upper sections -- all the players are to be congratulated for fine behavior.
Players from the Flashlight Section played 9 games in 1 day...even at game/15, it was too much for 1 day.
Players from Tennessee, South Carolina, Charlotte, and Chapel Hill participated along with local players from Hendersonville.
Marc Marino won the greatest upset prize of the Chessmaster 7000 computer software.
Over a dozen door prizes were given away and a good time was had by all!
